What is the Meaning & Definition of Global

The term global is used as a qualifying adjective to designate everything what has to do with the world, with the globe. The idea of global or of globalization is a very recent idea that emerges at the end of the 20th century as a result of one deep unification and global homogenization process both at the political level, as a primarily cultural, economic and social. Globalization is a very complex phenomenon that implies that all or nearly all the territories in the world are completely connected and linked together, assimilating the cultural, economic, or political characteristics of dominant as the United States or Europe regions. Although we cannot say that there has been other times of much communication between territories and between very distant regions, it was not until this time (late 20th century) when that communication, due to technological inventions, could be fully global, implying that part of the world that has not understood any part of this homogenization in communication and global participation there is no.
In this sense, in the first moments of globalization is when born the first global organizations in history, primarily the Organization of United Nations (UN) and others like the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund (IMF). All of them are born with the idea of acting globally, i.e. having interference and responsibility over all the territories of the planet. Currently, only a small number of countries or territories in the world do not belong to the UN.
In addition, when we speak of the global, we must make particular reference to how it has changed the culture throughout the second half of the 20th century and this has to do mainly with the fact that it is from the transmission of the American cultural elements that organize the rest of the cultures of the world: thus, can already speak of a type of global gastronomy music and global artists, global entertainment forms, etc. All this obviously works to the detriment of traditional cultures of each region that are side facing the important and profound advancement of globalized culture.
