What is the Meaning & Definition of geopolitics


Geopolitics is a science that deals with the study of spatial causality of the political events and the next or future effects of the same. It draws especially on other disciplines of importance such as descriptive geography, history and political geography.
The Swedish geographer Rudolf Kjellén is considered the father and founder of the same, since in 1900, in his introduction to the Swedish geography would expose of the same fundamental principles, meanwhile, in 1916, with the publication of another of his important works: the State as a body living, would use the term geopolitical for the first time from there to install it permanently.
In the beginning of the 20th century Germany, geopolitics occupied certainly prominently and then, already installed in the nation Nazism, would reach its maximum dissemination. Immediately afterwards, in countries such as Japan, Russia and China, also the geopolitics would reach a remarkable importance, especially between 1930 and 1940. Many political leaders of these times and of the above-mentioned countries considered geopolitics as an essential tool and the path to follow to reach a global power.
Unfortunately, the great propaganda use given to geopolitics in Germany, made that later, when the nation fell defeated you despise it is and soon fall into sad oblivion, especially in academia, in charge of teaching it to follow thus spreading it.
Anyway, for nothing would be final, but on the contrary, because in the Decade of the seventies of the last century it would recover interest and would gradually begin to grow again as a result of the different international tensions that would increase at that time.
There is currently a strong unexpected Alliance between science which concerns us and the international companies, geopolitics promotes the development of strategies of organizational growth and economic expansion that turn out to be very friendly and helpful, especially for those companies that produce products and services that are sold in different territories, under a major competitive force.
