Biography of Justo José de Urquiza

Military and Argentine politician
He was born on October 18, 1801 in Felling the long Brook ( Brook Urquizatoday), near Conception of Uruguay, Entre Ríos province.
The son of a Basque immigrant. He studied in Buenos Aires.
He was accused of promoting an uprising against Governor Lucio Mansilla, so had to go to the province of Corrientes. Later he was Deputy to the provincial Congress and President of the legislature from 1826 to 1827.
From his post of Governor of the province of Entre Ríos became spokesman of federalism and defender of the interests of the littoral provinces, against the trade monopoly in Buenos Aires. Defeated Juan Manuel de Rosas at the battle of Monte Caseros (1852) and was named interim director of the Confederación Argentina. After the Federal Constitution of 1853, was accepted, he began his presidential period (1854-1860).
It defeated Buenos Aires troops at the battle of Cepeda in 1859 and in 1860 ceded power to Santiago Derqui (1860-1861).
An April 11, 1870 he was murdered in his mansion near conception of Uruguay. Fifty men invaded the Palace by the back. Urquiza took a gun and wounded some of his attackers, but gave a bullet in his cheek and behind him, five stab wounds ended up with him.

Biography of Maria Montessori

He was born on August 31, 1870 in Chiaravalle.
He studied at the University of Rome. Dr. Montessori was the first female physician in Italy, graduated from the school of medicine in 1896, and began the "Casa di Bambini" in 1906 in Rome.

Biography of Jakob Bernoulli - Jacques Bernoulli

Swiss mathematician
Born 27 December 1654 in Basel, Switzerland.
Brother of the also mathematician, Johann Bernoulli and uncle of scientist Daniel Bernoulli.
He graduated in theology in the year 1676 and until 1682 traveled through France, England and the Nordic countries. He returned to his country and began to work as Professor of mechanics at the University of Basel from the year 1683.
He was the first to use the term integral in the year 16He early used polar coordinates and discovered the isochronous, curve formed when falling vertically a body with uniform speed. In a mathematical argument with his brother Johann, he invented the calculus of variations. He has also worked in Probability theory.
Jakob Bernoulli died on 16 August 1705 in Basel, Switzerland.

Biography of Fulgencio Batista

Political, military, and Cuban dictator
He was born on January 16, 1901 in Banes, in a modest hut of the Eastern Cuba countryside.
First was devoted to work in the field and later apprenticed to tailor, Carpenter, rail and other trades. He enlisted in the army and striving to ascend into the military life, studied English, grammar, physics, etc. In his free time is dedicated to teaching, at first as an employee and then riding their own Academy.
The fall of President Gerardo Machado, came to power Carlos Manuel Céspedes, and Batista who held the rank of Sergeant, called to sergeants, to los cabos and the troop, deposing through a coup d'etat to President. He was promoted to Colonel and took power.

In 1944, he exiled himself voluntarily handing over his post to Grau San Martin. He returned to Cuba in 1948 and in 1952 March staged a new coup, which made him President. Fidel Castro at the forefront of the political group "July 26", landed the yacht Granma and fought in the Sierra Maestra in a guerrilla war endangering his regime. He called elections in 1958 in which winning candidate was Riva Agüero, although it would not take power before Castro's triumph in January 1959.
He returned to exile in 1960 with a fortune of approximately the $100,000,000, first in the Dominican Republic, the island Madeira(Portugal), and finally in Spain. He wrote "Response".
Fulgencio Batista died of a heart attack on August 6, 1973 in Marbella (Spain). He was buried in the cemetery of San Isidro, Madrid.
