Flower power pit bulls of revolution

It seems that the portraits of dogs considered in the category of "dangerous breeds" is fashionable. And everything is to overthrow the prejudices that many people have about races such as the American Pit Bull Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the American Staffordchire Terrier, Bull Terrier, or any other mixture that is judged by the physical characteristics that they share.
Sophie Gamand, an award-winning French photographer dedicated to the realization of photographic series in which the protagonists are the dogs, It has joined the truck to dispel the undeserved fame of these dogs, in the same way that you did Douglas Sonders with its series "Not to Bully" (it is not dangerous). After its successful project Wet Dog, composed by images of dogs 16s exiting the bathroom, he presents his new work called Flower Power, Pit Bulls of the Revolution, where he portrays "dangerous breed dogs" in a scenario of innocence, sweetness and tranquillity.
Garamand decided to embark this project to realize that these races had always been photographed in urban environments very turbid, which not to more than feed the myth about his aggressive, dominant and violent temper. To carry out the project, the photographer approached three protective New York (Sean Casey Animal Rescue, Second Chance Rescue , Animal Haven) to photograph, with touches of flowers, some of the Pit Bulls that were up for adoption. Sophie aimed at breaking schemes and put an end to the prejudices that make them misunderstood victims: truth is that it's very strong and energetic dogs that need discipline to not develop a dominant behavior, but that does not mean that it is violent dogs because their nature hides a deep sweetness and infinite goodness. This last is precisely what Gamand wanted to emphasize in each of the portraits: fighting spirit against the system through the power of love, freedom, and the softness of flowers.
The most wonderful thing about this project is that the profits from the sale of photographs and with the completion of a timetable to 2015, will go to the three protectors that come from these so cute perretes. PEACE & LOVE and that is esfumen prejudice!
